What is CPA Bulk MMS?
Bulk MMS is a product for content providers who need to transmit
a large number of multimedia messages (MMS) to DiGi's GSM subscribers.
The price for sending MMS depends on the size of each MMS and the total
number of MMSes sent each month. The more MMS sent, the greater the discount.
Discounted price based on total number of bulk MMS sent in a calendar month
is calculated on a per short code per calendar month basis. This means that
if a content provider has 2 or more Bulk MMS short codes, it is the total
number of MMSes sent via for each short code that counts towards the volume
discount, not the combined total of MMSes from the 2 (or more) Bulk MMS short codes.
Content providers will be assigned a 5-digit short code starting with 6
(i.e. 6xxxx) for the Bulk MMS service which will be used to send the MMS to
DiGi subscribers. In the event DiGi subscribers sends a reply to the 6-series
short code this message will be forwarded to the content provider in the same way
as the CPA will do for requests originating from the 3-series short code.
A short code used by a Content Provider for CPA Bulk SMS will be retained
for the same Content Provider for its use on the CPA Bulk MMS service. Thus, Bulk MMS
will utilize the same 6-series short code range as Bulk SMS.
Content providers will need to connect to DiGi's infrastructure via a VPN connection
through the Internet or a leased line.
Billing
Invoicing for a Bulk MMS subscription takes place on a monthly basis. All usage
by the content provider for a calendar month is accumulated and invoiced at the
beginning of the next calendar month. The invoice issued by DiGi to the content
provider will specify the total number of MMSes and the total price payable for the
month in question.
