What is Mobile Number Portability (MNP)? |

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is the ability for users to switch to a new mobile service provider while retaining their existing mobile number. |

How does MNP benefit me? |
| |
The main benefit of MNP is freedom of choice and the competition that it generates. Customers are free to choose a new mobile service provider without having to change to a new number. This means customers can avoid the inconvenience of having to notify friends and associates that their number has been changed. |

What are the basic rules for MNP-CPA? |
| |

MNP involves porting of mobile numbers only. |

After a DiGi customer has ported out, he/she needs to re-subscribe to their services [CPA services (3 series shortcode)]. This means the customer will not be able to enjoy DiGi services (2000) anymore. |

a. Ported in customer will be DiGi's new customer.
b. Ported out customer will no longer be a DiGi customer. |

What is Central Clearing House (CCH)? |

Centre Clearing House (CCH) is a centralised database which facilitates the exchange of information between Mobile Service Providers for porting transactions and update routing information to all Mobile Service Providers. |

Central Clearing House (CCH) checks the latest status of a subscriber before pushing any mobile terminating (MT) to the subscriber. |

How does CP determine where to send mobile terminating (MT) without mobile originating (MO) since number prefixes no longer determine the specific mobile service provider? |

CP to connect to Central Clearing House (CCH) which is managed by Talian Gerak Alih Sdn Bhd (TGA) to query on the routing number (RN). |

What is Routing Number (RN)? |
| |
Routing Number is a shortcode assigned to the respective mobile service providers. Please refer to the table tabulated below:

Are there changes at the DiGi CPA for Content Provider (CP)? |
| |
Yes, CP requires the removal of all prefixes validation from their application side and will receive error messages if it is not a DiGi number. |

What are the possible error codes? |
| |
The error codes you will receive are as follow:
For CPA services and normal DiGi services:
105 - IMSI not found in database.
203 - Subscriber is not active.
For DiGi services and Bulk services :
191 - Operator ID not found.
Error message will be returned in mobile terminating (MT) response. |

What testing is required by a CP after MNP is launched? |

A CP can perform their internal testing and if the CP encounters any problem, please contact DiGi SMC at smc@digi.com.my |

Are there possibilities that a subscriber may experience delay on MT deliveries? |

Yes, due to the change of process due to MNP requirements. |

Are there changes in the MT parameters, Delivery Notification (DN) and URL for CPA transactions? |
