Community Zones Deactivated

Dearest DiGi Prepaid subscribers,

Please be informed that the Community Zones as listed will no longer be valid, starting from 7th Dec 2009 12.01am onwards. Do note that calling from these zones will no longer carry a discounted rate.

If you are a student and have been enjoying Community Zone rates previously, please ensure that your call plan is now on DiGi Campus. DiGi Campus offers extremely attractive call and SMS rates, and does not limit you to be in specific zones! For more information, please visit www.digi.com.my/campus or walk in to your nearest DiGi dealer within the vicinity of your campus.

Service Outage

DiGi Postpaid and DiGi Prepaid subscribers roaming abroad may face temporary difficulties in sending SMS to the 2000 shortcode. This matter is being investigated. We apologise for the inconvenience.
DiGi Prepaid Charging Block Update

Effective 1st November 2009, DiGi Prepaid customers on selected plans (i.e. DiGi Family, DiGi Prepaid, Super FnF, Super Talk, Super SMS and Powerpack,) will be charged per 60 seconds for all domestic calls.

Effective 5th November 2009, customers on the new DiGi Prepaid plan will enjoy 12 sen/min to all domestic calls and 1 sen/ SMS to all DiGi numbers when they hit RM1 on their DiGi Prepaid any day. Domestic calls will be charged per 30 seconds, after which customers who hit RM1, will be charged per 60 seconds. Terms and conditions apply.
Credit card registration required when making payment

Dear Valued Customers,

Beginning 1st October 2009, you'll be required to register your credit card at any DiGi outlets when making credit card payments. This includes payment via phone call, SMS, WAP and OCS.
Important notice for postpaid subscribers signing up for a third party

DiGi would like to remind all subscribers not to sign up for a postpaid account on the behalf of other individuals. Doing so may expose yourself to the risk of being fined RM 300,000 or 3 years imprisonment if the payment due is not made.

Multiparty Call Service Terminated

DiGi users can now check via SMS if the number they're calling is subscribed to DiGi. All requests are free, but you are limited to 10 requests daily. Refer here for more information.
Job Scam Alert!

Guidelines on Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) maximum 10 prepaid lines (SIM packs)

Dear Valued Customers,

Effective 1st April 2008, as per MCMC requirements, please be informed that each customer can only register up to a maximum of 10 prepaid lines per service provider. Customers who have registered more than 10 prepaid lines prior to 1st April 2008 will be able to keep all these lines. The 10 prepaid lines include both DiGi and Happy SIM packs. Gone are the hassles of remembering different numbers for each different rescue units.

DiGi Advises Customers to Ignore Hoax SMSes Promising Rewards and Cash Prizes

DiGi's Head of Customer Service, Christina Ng, said that these messages are not sent by DiGi and urged customers to report and delete the messages. "DiGi does not condone these chain letter style spam messages. We hope that our customers will not fall prey to these scams."

Ng added, "DiGi customers can get in touch with our customer service personnel at 0162211800 or www.digi.com.my to authenticate and report suspicious messages received."
Abuse of Mobile Communication Service

Dear Valued DiGi Customers,

You are hereby advised that your use of mobile communication services provided by DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi Services") is governed by the relevant and related provisions of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 ("the CMA"). Any abuse of the DiGi Services which include the act of composing and transmitting communications that are deemed obscene, indecent, false, menacing and/or offensive in nature with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass the recipient is an offence under Section 233 of the CMA. Examples of such communications include but are not limited to activities of sending blackmail messages, 'poison pen' messages, libelous messages and seditious messages.

If you are found to be in contravention of the CMA, you are liable to a fine not exceeding Ringgit Malaysia Fifty Thousand (RM50,000.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one (1) year or both and shall also be liable to a further fine of Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand (RM1,000.00) for every day during which the offence is continued after conviction.

In addition to the CMA, you may also be found guilty of an offence under section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 which carries a fine not exceeding Ringgit Malaysia Five Thousand (RM5,000.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three (3) years or both, and, for a subsequent offence, imprisonment for a term not exceeding five (5) years.
