This is to inform that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is conducting the Broadband Survey 2014. Canvassing period is from 12 April 2014 until 30 June 2014. Notification in major newspapers was published on 28 February 2014. Calls will be made to respondents selected at random from 9:00 am till 4:45 pm daily including Saturdays and Sundays except Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur/Selangor public holidays. Survey completion and/or extensions will be announced in the MCMC website: www.mcmc.gov.my.
Please note that the survey does NOT collect any money nor solicit any sales. MCMC has assured that data collected will be kept in the strictest confidence and will be used only to formulate national statistics. Postpaid Mobile Internet - Revision of Mobile Internet Max 240 (Default Plan)

We are streamlining our product offering by revising the Postpaid Mobile Internet Max 240 to Mobile Internet Max 250 with effect from 15 March 2014. This means that the Pay-As-You-Use charges will be capped at RM250/month. To continue to enjoy better savings, customers have the option to subscribe to the DiGi Postpaid Mobile Internet Monthly 250MB plan from as low as RM28/month.

DiGi® Easy Prepaid – Buddyz™ Revision

Please be informed that effective 1 March 2014, the FREE Buddyz™ voice and SMS quota will be revised to 1,000 mins and 1,000 SMS respectively. Subsequent usage will be charged at 5sen/min and 5sen/SMS.
This revision will only apply to DiGi® Easy Prepaid subscribers who activate their Buddyz™ services before 25 February 2011 and on/after 4 September 2012
Launch taken to the streets of Kuala Lumpur to provide public a taste of Malaysia's fastest mobile network
Kuala Lumpur, 14 May 2004: - DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") today launched Malaysia's fastest mobile network commercially with the offering of services on its EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution) enhanced network in the Klang Valley, promising the highest quality and fastest data transfer speeds currently available in Malaysia.
DiGi's street party cum commercial launch of its EDGE-enabled 3G services was officiated by Dato' Shaziman Abu Mansor, Deputy Minister, Energy, Water and Communication at Kuala Lumpur Plaza. Also present at the launch celebration, was and Dato' V Danapalan, Chairman of the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission.
With EDGE, DiGi's prepaid and postpaid customers can now access mobile multimedia content at speeds comparable to broadband services. A number of improved services are available, like high speed mobile internet, Java and multiplayer games, news and financial services, as well as a range of other useful information.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Tore Johnsen, Chief Executive Officer of DiGi said "If there's anything that's consistent in this digital age we now live in, it's the need for speed. Be it internet, email, music, text, multimedia messaging or video, people on the go want answers, information and entertainment. Speed, has nothing to do with living life at a frenetic pace. Speed with EDGE offers efficiency and quality."
"We at DiGi pride ourselves on exceeding our customers' expectations. That is - to go further and faster with greater efficiency," he added. "I firmly believe that EDGE will offer services that will be all things to all people. We were therefore determined that our launch would not happen in a secluded ballroom instead, as you can see is a celebration on the street. Here we can reach out to the whole cross section of people; AND far more importantly, they can reach out to us."
Simultaneously, DiGi launched its Traffic Info service, which provides an overview of real-time traffic conditions on selected Klang Valley roads. Colour images captured by cameras at selected locations, are sent to customers' phones, enabling them to avoid congested areas and delays.
Mr. Johnsen also announced DiGi's newly developed icon based portal. "The icon based WAP portal is significantly improving the usability of the mobile internet services, and this will accelerate the take up rate among consumers" he explained.
Although the speed and quality is improved, the services on EDGE will cost no more than the rates DiGi currently charges for its GPRS services. For the moment, MMS and traffic information content is available, free of charge.
To lend an air of festivity to the street party, pulsating performances by renowned local artistes like Resh Monu and ASEANA thrilled members of the public who thronged the party. EDGE- enabled handsets, were amongst the many valuable prizes that were given away to the exciting contests, including "Finding Mr. DiGi" and a photo competition.
