What is MMS? |

MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service and is a global messaging service that allows you to send pictures and/or audio and/or text (1,000 characters*) with your MMS phone to another MMS phone or any e-mail address.
* This is mobile phone dependent. Different models may have different capacities.

What is the difference between MMS and SMS? |
| |
With MMS, you can send pictures, animation with a combination of sound and longer text messages, up to 1,000 characters* per message.
SMS, on the other hand only allows you to send static picture messages with simple drawings/cartoons and is limited to 160 characters per SMS sent.

Does DiGi provide free images? |

Yes, we do. Please go to the DiGi Multimedia Library (MML) login page and key in the following:
- User ID – Key in your prefix followed by your mobile number (e.g. 60161234567, 60121234567)
- Password – 9999 (default).
- Finally click "Public" to proceed.

Do all mobile phones support MMS? |

Most of the latest mobile phones out in the market support MMS.

Can I use MMS if mine is an 8K or 16K SIM Card? |

Unfortunately, no. You will need to upgrade your SIM Card to a 32K SIM Card at a DiGi Centre first as MMS can only be supported by 32K SIM Cards and above. There will be no charges for upgrading your 8K or 16K SIM Card to a 32K SIM Card.

What is GPRS? |

GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service and is used to carry data over the mobile network. Think of GPRS as a pipe or channel used to transmit your MMS messages from one phone to another.

Do I need GPRS to enjoy MMS? |
| |
Yes, your mobile phone will need to be activated with GPRS first for you to use MMS. It will be activated automatically when you activate MMS.

How do I activate GPRS to enjoy MMS? |

You don't need to activate GPRS separately. It will be activated automatically for you when you request for MMS activation.

Where can I get pictures if my MMS phone doesn't come with a camera? |
| |
You can insert pictures from your phone gallery or download them from DiGi's Multimedia Library (MML) and send them to your family and friends. Please visit the MML to select free pictures to download and send to another MMS phone and/or an e-mail address.

Where can I download my pictures to if my phone picture/gallery memory is full and I wish to keep the existing pictures I have in my phone? |

You can send pictures that you want to keep to the Multimedia Library (MML). Send the picture (as how you would forward it to another phone) to (your mobile phone number@mml.digi.com.my) for e.g. 60161234567@mml.digi.com.my, 60121234567@mml.digi.com.my. To access the MML,click here.

My phone is not a MMS-enabled phone. Can I send and receive MMS messages? |

You won't be able to send any MMS messages. However, you can still receive such messages. Whenever someone sends you a MMS message, you will receive a SMS notification. Use the Message ID in the SMS notification to log onto our Legacy server to view your message. Here's an example:
You have been sent a MMS. You can retrieve it via web at www.digi.com.my or go to http://legacy.digi.com.my:8080/mmcp/Controller?url=mmc1;message-id=3920
To view:
- Visit www.digi.com.my
- Log in to Legacy and enter in your Login ID: Key in your prefix followed by your mobile number (e.g. 60161234567, 60121234567)
- Key in your Message ID: (as per SMS notification)
- Please note that you will only be able to view the picture ONCE using that Message ID. You won't be able to use that Message ID twice. We recommend that you save the picture to your PC after viewing it.

If I accidentally delete the SMS notification, is there any way I can get the Message ID again? |

Sorry. Your Message ID will only be sent once. Therefore you are advised to save the SMS received.

Yes, you can send MMS messages to any e-mail address.
* Note: Some of the MMS content/MMS sent may be filter/rejected when sending to corporate email address due to security reason. Kindly please check with the recipient email provider.

No, your recipient will not be able to send a reply to the address.

How am I being charged? Are MMS messages charged based on a "sent" basis? |

Yes, MMS messages are charged based on a "sent" basis,
Example: When you send a MMS to En.Ali, the MMS is received by DiGi's MMS Centre successfully, you will be charged accordingly. If En.Ali 's mobile phone is switched off for 1 week, you will still be charged even if En.Ali did not receive the MMS.

If I lose GPRS connection in the midst of sending a MMS message, will the message still be sent and will I be charged? |

It depends on whether the message is successfully sent before the connection is lost. If the message gets through before GPRS connection is lost, you'll be charged. Otherwise, you won't be charged. However, most mobile phones will re-send the MMS automatically once GPRS is re-established.

If a MMS message is not delivered due to the recipient's phone being out of coverage, switched off, etc, will the network try to re-send it? |

Yes, the DiGi network will automatically re-send the MMS for the next 72 hours (3 days).

What is the maximum MMS file size that I can send from my MMS phone? |
| |
You can send a domestic MMS message with a file size up to 300KB and an international MMS with a file size up to 100KB.

Why can't I insert an audio attachment to my MMS message? |
| |
This is mobile phone dependent. That means some MMS phones allow audio attachments while others don't. Also, please note that different phones may support different standards for audio clips. Therefore, your friend may not be able to listen to your audio clip even though he/she has successfully received it.

Can I download a video clip to my MMS phone? |
