What is Digi Challenge for Change?

The Digi Challenge for Change is an open and inclusive programme and competition for Malaysians to contribute ideas for mobile applications that benefit society.

What are the programme phases?

The programme undergoes two key phases; Ideation and Hackathon. The Top 3 teams from the two phases will then proceed to the Grand Finale.

Who can participate?

This programme is open to Malaysians (above 18 years of age) from all walks of life.

Do I have to be an app developer to participate?

You do not need to be an app developer to participate in Phase 1: Ideation. We welcome all creative individuals to contribute ideas for mobile first solutions that stand a chance to make a positive social impact. However, you do need to have app developing skills or design skills to participate in Phase 2: Development.

How are ideas selected for development?

Ideas in the detailed category are shortlisted by our partners and a select team of expert judges appointed by Digi. The best ideas in category will be judged on the basis of social impact.

We believe passionately that innovation requires collaboration and that technology can facilitate teamwork across great distances. We are working hard to ensure that we capture all the best ideas to become mobile apps that are socially beneficial and relevant to Malaysian society.
