Q1. I have an existing HTC HD / iPhone / other smartphone. Can I subscribe to DG Smart Plan™?
A1. Yes.
Q2. Is tethering (phone as modem) included in the DG Smart Plan™?
A2.
Yes, at no extra charge for tethering. It is already included as part of the monthly quota.
Q3. I sign up for the RM68 DG Smart Plan™ before 15th August 2011. Is there a quota for the RM68 DG Smart Plan™?
A3. There is a fair usage quota of 3GB for the DG Smart Plan™. If you exceed your quota, your speed will be reduced to 128kbps. You will not be charged extra and you will still surf at no extra cost.
Q4. I sign up for DG Smart Plan™ after 15th August 2011. Is there a quota for the DG Smart Plan™?
A4. Yes. There is monthly quota for each DG Smart Plan™. The options available are from as low as 1GB for DG Smart Plan™ 48, 3GB for DG Smart Plan™ 68 and 5GB for DG Smart Plan™ 88.
Q5. What happens when I exceed my monthly quota? Will I be charged for extra usage?
A5. No. Once you exceeded the monthly quota, you will not be charged extra and you will still surf at no extra cost. However, fair usage policy is applicable. The service speed will be throttled to 5Kbps for DG Smart Plan™ 48 once usage exceeded monthly quota. For DG Smart Plan™ 68 and 88, the speed will be throttled to 128Kbps once usage exceeded monthly quota.
Q6. I just sign up a new DG Smart Plan™ 68 on 22 Sept 2011, what happens when I exceed my monthly quota of 3GB?
A6. The service speed will be throttled to 5Kbps for DG Smart Plan™ 68 effective from 22 Sept 2011 onwards (applicable for new activation only). However, you will not be charged extra, you can still surf at no extra cost
Q7. I sign up for the RM68 DG Smart Plan™ before 20th September 2010. Is my BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) included in the plan?
A7. Yes. As an existing customer, you will continue to enjoy this benefit at no extra cost.
Q8. I sign up for the RM68 DG Smart Plan™ after 20th September 2010. Is my BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) included in the plan?
A8. No. You need to top up an additional RM10 for BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). However, this is optional.
Q9. Do I need to sign up for a DiGi Postpaid Plan, e.g. DG50 in addition to the DG Smart Plan™?
A9. No. You only need to sign up for the DG Smart Plan™.
Q10. I want a phone bundle. How much do I need to pay up front?
A10. Advance Payment is applicable for each DG Smart plan. You are required to pay for the device advance payment for sign up with contract and a one-month commitment fee. These advanced payments will be used to pay for your initial monthly bills.
Q11. Is there any penalty charged if I terminate my contract earlier?
A11. Yes, premature contract termination fee under DG Smart plan device bundle is applicable.

Q12. Can I pay for the device with EPP?
A12. Easy Payment Plan is currently offered for selected devices bundled with DG Smart Plan™ 68 only.
Q13. I am a foreigner. Can I subscribe to the DG Smart Plan™ and purchase a device from DiGi?
A13. Yes. However, you need to pay a deposit of RM500 on top of all other advance payments required.
Q14. I am currently with another mobile operator. Can I switch to the DG Smart Plan™ and purchase a phone bundle?
A14. You can sign up for the DG Smart Plan™ and, once you have successfully ported in to DiGi, you can come back and sign up for a phone bundle.
Q15. Can I upgrade or downgrade my DG Smart Plan™ during my contract period?
A15. Yes, Customer is allowed to upgrade their DG Smart Plan™. However, downgrade of plan is not allowed during the contract period.
Q16. The Free 50 minutes on-net calls and 50 on-net SMS is only applicable for DG Smart Plan™ 88?
A16. Free 50 minutes on-net Calls and 50 on-net SMS under DG Smart Plan™ 88 is only applicable for calls and sms from DiGi to DiGi network only. Free Calls and SMS are only applicable for new activation from 15th August 2011 onwards.
Q17. I sign up DG Smart Plan™ 88 before 15th August 2011. Will I be entitled for the free minutes and SMS?
A17. No. Free minutes and SMS are only applicable for new activation effective 15th August 2011.
Q18. I sign up DG Smart Plan™ 88 before 15th August 2011, will my existing tier discount change to the new tier discount?
A18. No. the new tier discount is only applicable for new activation effective 15th August 2011.
Q19. I am a DiGi Prepaid customer. Can I subscribe to the DG Smart Plan™?
A19. Yes, you can convert your DiGi Prepaid to the DG Smart Plan™ and retain your mobile number.
Q20. What is the advance payment for? Is it a deposit?
A20. The advance payment is used to pay for your initial monthly bills. It is not a deposit.
Q21. Where can I sign up for the DG Smart Plan™?

Q22. How does the Save Smart discount work for DG Smart Plan™?
A22. If you are on DG Smart Plan 68, you will get a 100% discount on your data plan when you spend above RM200 in total usage in a month.
(E.g. For DG Smart Plan™ 68, you will enjoy RM68 discount if your total billed usage in a month is more than RM200. If you spend between RM100 and RM200 in total usage in a month, you will enjoy 25% discount on your data plan i.e. for DG Smart Plan™ 68, you get RM17 discount.)
Q23. Is the Monthly Commitment Fee (E.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68 -RM68) counted as part of the total usage to be eligible for the Save Smart discount?
A23. Yes.
Q24. Is the RM10 BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) counted as part of the total usage to be eligible for the Save Smart discount?
A24. Yes.
Q25. Is the Save Smart Rebates applicable to the RM10 BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) add-on as well or are they only applicable to the Monthly Commitment Fee (E.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68 - RM68)?
A25. The Save Smart Rebates are only applicable to the DG Smart Plan™'s monthly commitment fee (E.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68- RM68 will be applicable).
Q26. Is the Save Smart Rebates applicable to the RM10 BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) add-on as well or are they only applicable to the DG Smart Plan™'s monthly commitment fee (E.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68 - RM68)?
A26. The Save Smart Rebates are only applicable to the DG Smart Plan™’s monthly commitment fee (E.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68- RM68 will be applicable).
Q27. If I tag on a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to my DG30, DG50, DG150 plan, am I qualified for the Save Smart discounts?
A27. No, the Save Smart discounts are only applicable to the DG Smart Plan™.
Q28. Can I have Friends and Family for the DG Smart Plan™?
A28. Yes. You are entitled for Friends & Family.
Q29. Can I register supplementary lines under my DG Smart Plan™?
A29. Yes, but your supplementary lines will be a basic supplementary line. There is an RM30 minimum voice commitment.
Q30. I am currently under DG 30/50/150. Can I just change to DG Smart Plan™? I am no longer under any contract term.
A30. Yes, you can.
Q31. I am under a DG50 plan. If I add on a BlackBerry package instead of converting to a DG Smart Plan™, will my calls be charged at DG Smart Plan™ rate, or my current DG50 rate?
A31. You will be charged at DG50 rates.
Q32. Do I have to settle all my outstanding balances prior to swapping over to the DG Smart Plan™?
A32. Yes.
Q33. What's the difference on the mobile broadband speed for DG Smart Plan™ and Prepaid Internet Unlimited Max8?
A33. The Prepaid Internet Unlimited Max8 has a likely average speed (LAS) of at 384kbps download (d/l). DG Smart Plan™ has a likely average speed (LAS) of 700kbps download (d/l).This is assuming you are in a 3G covered area.
Q34. Do I have to register for a DG30 / DG50 / DG150 postpaid plan in order for me to subscribe to DG Smart Plan™?
A34. No. The DG Smart Plan™ is a postpaid plan in itself with zero minimum voice commitment. Your only commitment is your monthly mobile internet charges of RM48, RM68 or RM88 depending on your choice of DG Smart Plan™.
Q35. If I subscribe to the DG Smart Plan™ for my BlackBerry, will I be able to access my office email?
A35. Yes, assuming your office gives you access. Please check with your IT team if you are unsure.
Q36. I want to sign up for BES for my Blackberry. Is this possible?
A36. Yes, but the BES fee will cost RM20 on top of the DG Smart Plan™.
Q37. If I change to DG Smart Plan™ from my current postpaid plan, will my calls and SMS to my supplementary lines still be free?
A37. Yes.
Q38. Can I use my credit card to pay for the device, advance payment and first month upfront payment?
A38. Yes.
Q39. Can my supplementary lines register for DG Smart Plan™?
A39. No they cannot. DG Smart Plan™ is only for principal lines.
Q40. How do I qualify for Smart Save?
A40. It is based on your total bill spend which includes monthly commitment fee+your calls/SMS/MMS usage. Example: 25% discount off RM68 for DG Smart Plan™ 68; you just need to spend an additional RM32 to qualify.
Q41. Will the advance payment be used to rebate only my monthly commitment fee or the entire bill spend?
A41. The rebate will cover the entire bill spend.
Q42. Is DG Smart Plan™ available for new customers only?
A42. No, current DiGi customers and new customers can sign up for DG Smart Plan™.
Q43. Is the DG Smart Plan™ eligible for the Government's broadband tax relief program?
A43. Yes. Individual taxpayers will enjoy tax relief on the DG Smart Plan™ fee (e.g. DG Smart Plan™ 68 = RM68x12). Please contact your tax agent / consultant for advice on the broadband tax relief.
Q44. I am an existing DiGi customer. How do I upgrade? Do I walk in to DiGi Centre/DSS, call-in to customer service at 016 221 1800 or use D'Chat?

Q45. Is the RM3 for Itemised Billing applicable for DG Smart Plan™?
A45. Yes, it is applicable. If you do not wish to receive printed bill, you may subscribe to e-Billing @ http://digi.com.my/ocs. There is no charge for e-Billing.
Q46. Will RM5 rebate for Auto-billing still apply for DG Smart Plan™?
A46. Yes. Upon subscription to Auto-billing service, you will enjoy RM5 rebate on your monthly bill.
Q47. Can I redeem my Bonus Points and use the voucher to purchase the phone deals?
A47. No, you can't.
Q48. Can I use the DG Smart Plan™ to access Internet when I am overseas? Will I be charged extra?
A48. Yes, you can use the DG Smart Plan™ when you are overseas. You will be charged RM36/day if you roam with specific partners.

Q49. Will I earn bonus points with my monthly DG Smart Plan™?
A49. Yes, you will.
Q50. If I convert my DiGi Prepaid to DG Smart Plan™, will my credit be carried forward?
A50. Yes, your credit (up to RM100) will be carried forward and be used to cover your coming months' bills.
Q51. Can I use my prepaid credit to cover the advance payment?
A51. No, you can't. You will still have to pay the advance fee. However, the advance fee will be combined with your carried forward credit to cover your coming months' bills.
Q52. What is the difference between the DG Smart Plan™ and DiGi Broadband?
A52. DiGi Broadband is meant for data only. DG Smart Plan™ is an all-in-one plan with unlimited data and pay as you use voice+SMS+MMS.
Q53. What is the difference between the DG Smart Plan™ and the iDiGi plan?
A53. The iDiGi plan is an iPhone only plan which comes with a certain amount of bundled voice and SMS as part of the monthly commitment. DG Smart Plan™ provides you mobile internet data at lower price and your voice+SMS+MMS usage is pay as you use.
