DiGi provides travelers like yourself the following:
International Roaming
With International Roaming, you can use your mobile to call home while you are abroad. The GSM capability allows you to keep in touch wherever you are as long as your network operators are one of DiGi International Roaming Partners.
GSM network services
When you arrive in Malaysia, your GSM phone will automatically search for a network of an operator that has signed a Roaming Agreement with your mobile operator. In addition, you can search for a certain operator manually. The manual search is also useful when the signal strength in a certain location is not sufficient for automatic search (see the manual of your phone). Depending on the model and manufacturer of your mobile phone, the following words can be shown on the display of your phone as an indication of DiGi's network:
· DiGi
· DiGi1800
· MYMT16
If you are not able to select DiGi's network, check with your own operator if they have signed a roaming agreement with DiGi Mobile Networks.
When you are within the coverage area of the DiGi GSM network, various mobile services will be available to you if your own operator supports these services. For example;
A. Normal voice services including call barring, call waiting, call hold and multi party calling
B. SMS-messaging: both sending and receiving short messages
C. MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service)
D. Fax services
E. Data transmission
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS): The GPRS related configurations would be provided by your own operator. Please check from DiGi's GPRS Roaming partners list whether your operator has a GPRS Roaming Agreement with DiGi.
These services are supported by DiGi's network. The services available and the prices of the services depend on the subscription you have made with your own operator. If you have any problem with the use of DiGi's GSM services or network, please contact your own operator's customer service.
DiGi has about 200 roaming partners that spread around more than 100 countries, just like you would at home. Once you reached Malaysia, you can call home the minute you step off the plane!
DiGi Prepaid SIM Pack
