Present your OKU card at any Digi Store for an exclusive offer on plans

SUBANG JAYA, 18 JUNE 2019 ā€“ In support of the persons with disabilities (PWD) community, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) is providing lifetime offers on its best value plans for differently-abled customers from as low as RM28 monthly for 6GB of data.

Customers with a valid Persons with Disabilities (OKU) card can enjoy a lifetime RM10 discount when they sign up for any Digi Postpaid plan, connecting them to what matters most at a more affordable price. All plans come with unlimited calls to all networks, and have been made available to PWD customers since 2012.

ā€œDigi remains committed to Sustainable Development Goal 10, Reducing Inequalities, as we continue to offer affordable plans for all our customers across Malaysia. Mobile connectivity plays an important role in encouraging social participation for the differently-abled, and we will continue to bring better, more personalised offers and related-inclusion programmes for the PWD community,ā€ said Philip Ling, Digiā€™s Head of Sustainability.

To enjoy this lifetime offer on Digi Postpaid, customers need only sign-up at any Digi Store with their original identity card (NRIC) and original OKU card. Third party registrations by family members or legal guardians can also be done by presenting the original NRIC or birth certificate and original OKU card of the differently-abled customer, and proof of legal guardianship of the person registering.

In addition to providing easy access to connectivity, the company also continues to work on tailoring its services to a wide range of customers at its touchpoints and community programmes. In Digi Stores, there are express lanes and geek bar support prioritised for PWDs, seniors and pregnant women.

Digi is also actively supporting other social inclusion efforts through its involvement in the Sekolah Dalam Hospital (SDH) Programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Yayasan Nurul Yaqeen since 2018, as well as funded the development of a Malaysian Sign Language (MSL) mobile application called EDDY to bridge the communication gap for persons with hearing and speech disabilities.

Visit any Digi Store for more information on these exclusive plans for the PWD community.
