DiGi brings fun back into business with D'Masters Golf Tour 2009

Overall winner to play at St Andrews Golf Club, Scotland

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 MAY 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") teed off its inaugural D'Masters Golf Tour 2009 on 30 April 2009 at the Kota Permai Golf & Country Club with the staging of the first eight legs.

This invitation-only series of golf tournaments are exclusively for selected DiGi Business customers.

Played on a modified system 36 stableford format, blind partnership combined nett score, the series will culminate in a three-day, two-night Grand Final, which will be staged this December in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In the first leg of the series, the top pair of Shuhaimi Hashim (Petronas Malaysia) and Mohd Shariff Taib (Nippon Xpress) shot a combined score of 75 stableford points to earn a spot in the Grand Final. Nadza Abdul (Pos Laju National Courier) was also identified as a wild card winner. The three of them will be flown to Jakarta for an all-expense paid trip, courtesy of DiGi.

The overall winner of the Grand Final will play at St Andrews Golf Club in Scotland - the place where the game was invented. The exact dates and details of the Grand Final will be announced later.

After the Kota Permai leg, the series will travel to the following prestigious golf clubs across Malaysia - Bukit Jambul Golf & Country Club, Penang (14 May); Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, Johor (18 June); Saujana Golf & Country Club, Selangor (9 July); Palm Resort Golf and Country Club, Johor (23 July); Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club, Sabah (24 September); Damai Golf and Country Club, Sarawak (20 October); and Glenmarie Golf and Country Club, Selangor (19 November).
