DiGi Music Unlimited subscribers to enjoy free Chinese showcases in December
DiGi Music LIVE presents Y2J and Evan Yo

SHAH ALAM, 9 NOVEMBER 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is bringing down two Taiwanese acts - rock band Y2J and pop singer Evan Yo to perform at the exclusive Chinese showcases of DiGi Music LIVE from 4-6 December 2009 in Peninsular and East Malaysia.

The showcases will have both acts performing back-to-back at Highway Autocity in Prai, Penang (4 December), Sungei Wang rooftop in Kuala Lumpur (5 December) and 1Borneo HyperMall in Kota Kinabalu (6 December).

The showcases are organised exclusively for DiGi customers who subscribe to DiGi Music Unlimited service, following the just-concluded and highly successful DiGi Music LIVE concert with US rock band, The All-American Rejects on 31 October.

DiGi's Head of Segments, Koay Chee Keong, said: "We want to continue bringing in live performances for our subscribers of DiGi Music Unlimited service to enjoy unique music experiences with their favourite artistes. After the incredible response from our inaugural DiGi Music LIVE concert with The All-American Rejects, it was only logical that we also reach out with different music genres that appeal to Malaysia youths."

Added Loan Cheong, General Manager of Universal Music Malaysia: "This time, we are going to hold a series of showcases on three consecutive days in three different locations. It would be a great opportunity, especially for outstation DiGi Music Unlimited subscribers, to see their idols perform live."

Having two fantastic Chinese artistes of different genres performing on one stage will be a real treat for fans, making it a musical experience not-to-be-missed!

Rock band, Y2J comprises Yuming Lai, winner of the Taiwanese reality show, One Million Star in 2007, and Jane Huang, who was named the most popular contestant in the same show. Together, they formed Y2J after their new-found fame and recorded their first album, Live For You in 2008. Their hit songs include 為你而活 (Live For You), 武裝的薔薇 (Armed Rose) and 草戒指 (Grass Ring).

The popular Mandarin pop singer Evan, who is also a composer and actor, made a name for himself with his debut album '19' in 2006. He won a huge fan base outside Taiwan, including Malaysia, with his hit song, 我可以 (I Can). Two years later, he released his second album, Search Evan Yo, which solidified his talents once again with chart-topping songs like 我回來了 (I'm Back), 2人 (Two of Us) and also Stay With Me. At the end of October 2009, he released his third album, Loneliness (寂寞。好了) just as he graduated from National Taiwan Normal University(國立臺灣師范大學), majoring in Classical Music. He is now a full-time composer and singer.

DiGi Music LIVE is a series of exclusive events to complement DiGi Music Unlimited service, which offers unlimited music downloads for a flat fee of RM5 a month. Subscribers can also share songs and their playlists with friends via SMS, e-mail and social networking sites.
