DiGi presents the world's first Mobile Massively Multiplayer Online Game
- Partnership with Nokia enables gamers to combat across platforms, across boundaries
- Malaysian customers to have the first in the world experience

Kuala Lumpur, 19 January 2006 : DiGi today announces a partnership with Nokia to provide the world's first Mobile Massively Multiplayer Online Game (3MOG). DiGi customers will be global leaders in this cross-platform, cross-boundary gaming experience.

Once commercialised, Malaysian gamers are able to use their mobile phones from anywhere in the country to combat with friends and foes on their PCs or mobile phones internationally.

DiGi impressed Nokia as an innovative leader and was selected over other global players be the first to launch HinterWars, the world's first 3MOG.

The partnership between DiGi and Nokia was inked in a Memorandum of Understanding today. For the signing, DiGi was represented by Chief Marketing Officer Chee Pok Jin and Nokia was represented by Multimedia Business Director of Southeast Asia Pacific, Dolly Chin.

"DiGi has always been the leader in bringing innovative services but this afternoon, we make Malaysians the leader of the world. This coup is secured against keen competition among telco giants across the globe and much more advanced markets. We are most proud of this partnership with Nokia," says Chee.

"We are impressed by how DiGi continuously offer very innovative products - something we believe all service providers must do to drive customer usage. We are also most keen to launch HinterWars with DiGi in a market of very savvy mobile service users," says Chin.

Under the MoU, DiGi will be chief among communications service providers to bring 3MOG to mobile users. Nokia will be providing the technology and content - HinterWars - developed by its partner, Activate.

Following this signing, DiGi will be launching road shows across the country to introduce 3MOG to customers. Starting February, HinterWars commences its cross-platform beta stage with 1,200 licenses to be awarded.

This will culminate in an official launch and commercialisation in March, when HinterWars goes live for all DiGi users in Malaysia.

With 3MOG, DiGi raises the bar in advanced mobile data services and brings customers even closer to the 3G experience.
