KOTA KINABALU, 31st May 2018 - In conjunction with the celebration of Pesta Kaamatan, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (‘Digi’) has teamed up with Grab Malaysia in Kota Kinabalu to provide free shuttle services for the Kaamatan revellers.

On 30th and 31st May 2018, with 30 units of Digi X Grab cars, the shuttle service ran to and from two pick up points, Mega Long in Donggongon and Warisan Square Bus Stop in the heart of the city to the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association, from 11am to 7pm.

Digi's Area Manager for West Sabah, Johnny Ku said, "At Digi we understand the importance of the Kaamatan Festival to Sabahans, with May 30th and 31st at the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association being the culmination of a month long statewide celebration. During these two days, obtaining a parking spot around the venue is close to impossible and the roads around the area will be extremely congested with traffic. Therefore, we decided to team up with Grab to connect Sabahans to what matters most to them, by enabling them to celebrate the most important festival in the calendar with a free, comfortable ride experience."

In addition to the free shuttle service, Digi also partnered with Hitz.FM and KupiKupi FM to host a two-day mini Kaamatan carnival located right opposite of the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association. The public enjoyed fun filled activities and attractive promotions for both Digi Prepaid and Postpaid plans as well as win prizes for these two days only. Customers also took the opportunity to not only meet and greet their favourite DJs from the two radio stations but also the past Akademi Fantasia winners Adam Shamil and Marsha. To make things more interesting, the public also received the chance to ride on the same shuttle car with their favourite radio DJ or AF winner.
