Hawaiian golf holiday awaits Grand Final winner

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 JULY 2010: After a successful maiden run last year, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is proud to unveil the second season of the D'Masters Golf Tour. More excitement awaits participants this year as the Grand Final winner will fly off to Hawaii, USA for a golf holiday.

A by-invitation only event, the D'Masters Golf Tour 2010 is organised as a networking opportunity for DiGi Business customers. There will be eight preliminary rounds and one Grand Final round of golf, running from July 2010 till January 2011.

Explained Christian Schutt, acting head of Enterprise Business: "We received overwhelming support from our customers to repeat the D'Masters golf series after last year's resounding success. This time, we are offering more challenging golf courses and have sweetened the pot with a trip to play at Hawaii's most renowned golf club, Kapalua Resort on the island of Maui for the Grand Final winner."

"It is our intention to keep on creating many unique engagements that our customers will appreciate. Organising D'Masters Golf Tour is one of many planned for our DiGi Business customers as it also offers an opportunity to show our appreciation to our customers for their loyal support."

The D'Masters Golf Tour 2010 will tee-off with its first leg on 22 July at the Sungai Long Golf & Country Club and will be followed by seven legs in Ponderosa Golf & Country Club (29 July), Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club (5 August), Kota Permai Golf & Country Club (16 September), Kelab Golf Sarawak (30 September), Glenmarie Golf & Country Club (7 October), Bukit Jawi Golf Resort (21 October) and Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (4 November).

The format of the tournament remains the same with blind partnerships playing under the modified system 36 stableford format. The top pair and a 'wild card' pick from each leg will qualify for the Grand Final while the individual overall champion in each leg will receive a BlackBerry smartphone. The 3D2N Grand Final is scheduled for mid-January next year in Batam, Indonesia.

This D'Masters Golf Tour 2010 will also see Firefly, TaylorMade and Titoni coming onboard as partners for the event.
