Flyaway contest a lead up to DiGi K-Pop Party next year

Shah Alam, 18 NOVEMBER 2010: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is sailing on the Korean wave of pop music with a unique proposition for customers - an exclusive all-expense paid trip to attend Korean boy band, Beast's first solo concert in Seoul, Korea on 12 December 2010.

Moharmustaqeem Mohammed, Head of Segment Marketing said: "True to our mantra of delivering distinctive music experiences, this flyaway contest is just a foretaste of K-pop experience that DiGi will be bringing. We're planning a multi-act party early next year and will be releasing more information soon.

"Since we first hosted their showcase performance in KL this year, Beast has garnered strong following among Malaysians today. Fans that number among our customer base will have an experience of a lifetime when they win the opportunity to see their favourite 'oppa' headline their first solo concert."

In collaboration with Universal Music, the flyaway contest will see DiGi sponsoring one lucky customer and partner on a free trip, inclusive of flight tickets, two nights' accommodation and tickets for two, to watch Welcome to Beast Airline Concert. The concert will feature a 'flight-theme' where the 2010 Seoul Music Awards' Best Newcomer recipient will be dressed as captains on board their flagship, Beast Airline, before taking-off at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

All DiGi prepaid and postpaid customers are eligible to participate in the contest running from 18 November - 2 December 2010. To qualify, customers simply need to purchase the Beast CallerTunes™ package at RM9.00, namely Mastermind, Sum and Shock for a period of 30 days.

Customers can purchase the CallerTunes™ via SMS by sending Beast to 2016. The flyaway contest winner will be notified by phone come 6 December 2010.
