Malaysia's first "Live-in" Billboard
Over RM30,000 worth of prizes to be won at three-day event

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 MAY 2010: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") today unveiled Malaysia's first "live-in" billboard in conjunction with its eight-week Bola! Bola! Bola! promotion that started on 15 May 2010.

Located at the entrance of shopping centre, Pavilion KL, the "live-in" billboard was specially built to house Hitz.FM Morning Crew, JJ and Ean for 50 consecutive hours. They will be broadcasting their morning shows live from within the "live-in" billboard while pumping up the crowd to join in the fun at DiGi's Bola! Bola! Bola! road show from 21 - 23 May 2010.

On the strategy behind the promotion, DiGi's newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Henrik Clausen explained: "Malaysians are as football crazy as anyone in the world, and we want to bring that fever pitch to a whole new level. Throughout this promotion, eight qualifying DiGi customers and their friends will win a 'passport' to catch a live football match of their favourite team, anywhere in the world. This is our way to make it easy for our customers to enjoy and enhance their experience beyond this football season."

Albern Murty, DiGi's Head of Marketing added: "We want to allow our customers to experience the football madness through our products and services offerings. In fact, we have tailored our promotion and road shows where everyone can be a winner."

"AMP Radio Networks is pleased to be DiGi's supporting partner in this campaign since we are both passionate about football and in exploring new ways to engage with our customers and listeners. I'm sure Hitz.FM Morning Crew fans and DiGi customers will have a ball of a time tuning in to JJ and Ean's show as they broadcast live from Malaysia's first ever live-in Billboard," said its Chief Operating Officer, K. Sree Pathmanathan.

Ending on 11 July 2010, the Bola! Bola! Bola! promotion is open to all new and existing DiGi customers who reload a minimum of RM10 for DiGi Prepaidâ„¢ and Prepaid Internetâ„¢ lines or activate new DiGi Postpaid Friends and Familyâ„¢ (FnF) numbers. Qualifying customers will also receive free 100 on-net SMS for every new prepaid or postpaid line activation or reloads of RM30 and above.

The more they reload or activate their FnF numbers, the more chances they will have to be shortlisted to answer three questions. The weekly winner who answers all three questions correctly will win a trip for two to watch their favourite football team in action between the period of August 2010 and May 2011.

In line with the 'everyone wins' theme, DiGi donated RM20,000 and football goodies to four charity homes, namely the Cleft Lip and Palate Association Malaysia (CLAPAM), the Kiwanis Club of USJ in support of the Malaysian Rare Diseases Society (MRDS), Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR) and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim/Miskin Klang (PEYAKIN KLANG).

"With the help of our media partners, we wanted to engage the children in these homes and associations to join in the football fun and appreciate the game as one of the world's most beautiful recreational sports. We will be allocating some of the funds to buy much-needed home computers for the children," said Clausen.

During the three-day road show, the public is encouraged to engage with JJ and Ean and help to fill up a catchment box located next to their "Live-in" billboard. For every SMS "MC MESSAGE" to 32111, a ball will be dropped into the box.

At an appointed time, all the balls will be released into the street for the public to catch. The lucky ones with specially coded balls will have a chance to win great prizes like HTC mobile phones and Panasonic merchandise such as LCD TVs, home theatre systems and Blu-ray players.
